So for Valentine's Day I decided to give Eric a heart attack. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of hearts around our apartment. There are a lot of pictures but the pictures don't do it justice because the pictures don't show how many hearts there really are.

Here is the video I took of our apartment before I woke Eric up. At the beginning it's kind of blurry so watch out. You can also here the bacon sizzling at the end because I made Eric breakfast burritos for breakfast.

Later that day we went to Stacey's house to watch Katie and Jace while Stacey and Scott went out on a date.

Katie got a hold of my camera and wanted to take some pictures, so here they are...
Here is some of them making some funny faces and as soon as they were looking and then I'd try to snap the picture, they would look away, so this is the best one that I got of them.
I did finally get one of them smiling and looking into the camera at the same time finally. (Note the small piece of broccoli still in Jace's mouth (a long time after dinner was done)).

Overall it was a really fun night. We played hide and go seek for a while before they went to bed. One time when I was the counter, I got to 9 and I wondered out loud what comes next, I then heard a little whisper, ten, from Katie coming from the closet. It was pretty funny. Those kids were a lot of fun to play with.

The Dance

So on Friday the 13th me and Eric went to the Institute Valentine's dance. It was pretty fun and a little corny as usually. For dinner they had lasagna, salad, rolls, and cake. It was good. After the dinner they had a dance and we stayed for a while but then we left early because we were kind of tired and we had eaten too much.

So on Tuesday, for the club that I am in, we went to Grace Lutheran to help the students get fingerprints. It was pretty fun. This is kind of dorky but I am kind of excited. If you follow this link and go onto page 7 and watch the video "FBI Fingerprints local students" you will be able to see my hand and almost my face. I'm the one fingerprinting the cute little Asian girl. Yup, I'm famous, well not really. Just thought I'd let you all know.

I'm Alive!!!!

So today I did pretty much the scariest thing that I have ever done. I am taking a rock/wall climbing class here at ISU and today we repelled from the top of Holt Arena, which is more than 100 feet high. I am super afraid of heights so naturally I have been nervous ever since I found out we were going to do this, especially today. Sorry ahead of time for all of the pictures, but I am super proud of myself for doing this.

Climbing up the ladder, which I also hate doing

This is me getting on the catwalk to get where I am going to repel. The scariest part of this whole thing was actually walking up the catwalk because there wasn't one continuous railing to hold onto and plus, on one side there were the big lights and electrical boxes, so you could only hold onto one side.

Finally up there and you can barely see the ropes that we repel from.

I wanted to take a picture to show how high I was, so I brought my phone up with me because Eric had the camera. I was surprised that I actually could take my hands off the rail long enough to take the pictures with my phone and that I didn't drop it.

It was really hard for me to hook up the rope to my harness because I was so nervous and somewhat shaky.

Trying to climb over the railing, which was the second hardest thing I had to do and also took FOREVER (pretend I said like on Sandlot) as you can see me hanging on with my legs for dear life.

Finally I am actually starting to come down.

When I was coming down it didn't seem like I was that high, but obviously I was.

About half way there.

My hands and arms were so tired/nervous that I couldn't unhook myself so I had to have someone help do it.

Scary

Yesterday morning I had to go to work for a little while and I did not stop to think that I should have just called in instead of even going in at all. When I was driving there and on the way back, it was super scary. The tires kept spinning out or I kept sliding on the road. This is a picture I took with my phone. I would have tried to get a better picture up but, the roads were scary and I didn't want to die so I'm proud that I even got this picture. This picture doesn't even do justice to how scary it was. If you look closely you can see how much snow is on the road and how little you can see. I am glad that I made it because I was praying the whole way home.

New Years Eve/Day

So for New Year's Eve Eric and I went to our friends' Colin and Vanessa's house to play games, eat food, and hang out. We played games, ate good food, and hung out/talked. It was a lot of fun. After the ball dropped, nobody wanted to go to bed yet so we played some more games. Playing games late at night makes everything funnier than it really is. These are a few pictures of everyone after we had been playing for a long time.

The next morning we went back to the Carrs and had German pancakes with honey butter syrup, Yum! Thanks Vanessa! After we had eaten breakfast, a bunch of us went to Downata Hot Springs.

When we got there we hung out in the pool for a while. It was so nice and warm. After we were done swimming we, well everyone else played Rockband while I crashed because I was so tired. It was a fun day and night, but I probably won't do that for a very very very very long long time.
