Today was Conner and Emma's first soccer game. Conner's was first. It was pretty cute watching the little kids running around with the ball. Conner did ok. He didn't move around much. He would go where the coach would tell him to go but then he would just stand there.

Emma did ok. She didn't do too much. She held her coach's hand most of the time and kind of threw in the ball. The coach had to help her do it but Emma did something. She said she had fun though.
Tonight was Conner and Emma's back to school night. We were able to go to the kids' teachers and meet them. They seemed pretty nice.
Emma ended up getting a different teacher a month into the school year because there were only two first grade classes and they were pretty big so they were able to get a new teach, making it three 1st grade teachers. Emma ended up getting put into the new class. I think I am going to like this new teacher more.
This weekend we were able to go up to Idaho to watch the Solar Eclipse.
Friday We went up to Idaho today. There wasn't as much traffic as we thought there would be, which was nice. We just hung out at my parents' place for the day.
Saturday Today we went to Matt's scrimmage and just hung out the rest of the day.

Then we got all packed up and headed up to Stacey's and the kids all played and we hung out and talked for a while, had dinner and then set up our tents.
Monday After everyone got up we had breakfast, took a bunch of pictures of everybody, took the tents down and waited for the eclipse to start.

And it's here? It was so cool how dark it got. It didn't get pitch black but it gotten pretty dark and silent, a little eerie.
And now it's starting to go back. . .

Soon after the eclipse happened we ate a quick lunch and then we headed home. The roads were pretty packed. Every time we would get close to an exit/on-ramp the traffic would come to a stand still. It was crazy! It took us twice as long to get home, so not too bad.
