Halloween

Today was a busy-ish Halloween day. First I dropped the kids off at preschool

Then we went to my cousins' soccer game, ISU vs Weber. And we brought the kids in their costume. It was pretty cute watching Emma and Sadie together

And then we went trunk-or-treating

And then we went home for a little bit

And then we went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. At one house, Conner just walked right in and didn't even care. It was so funny. He also liked picking candy out of the bowls and would just keep grabbing it. Tia and Blaise and their kids came trick-or-treating with us too. It was pretty cute watching all of the kids together.

Carving Pumpkins

Today we finally carved our pumpkins that we had gotten a while back. The kids kind of grabbed the guts out of the pumpkins but it was mostly Eric and I that did all of the dirty work and the carving part.

And here are our pumpkins! They're from the show Phineas and Ferb, one of their favorite shows

3 Years 7 Months

Here's some new things the kids have done this month

Emma:
- Says "super sticky" a lot
- " I like that"
- "what's your favorite?"
- "I'm coming with ya"
- "I'm not scary"
- "Of course!"
- "What?"

Both:
- "I'm right here"
- "I'm ok"

Conner:
- "Let's go get her"
- "Ah! Look out!"
- "Are you alright?"

Green River

This past weekend we went camping down in Green River with some friends. It was a lot of fun and the kids had a ton of fun too.

10-16-14
We started our trip today. It was a few hours away.

Some pretty cool scenery on the way there

Once we got there Eric set up our camp while I took the kids to play in the river. The kids had so much fun playing in the sand and water.

And of course not too long after Conner fell in and got soaked!

And then Emma did too

The scenery was so pretty!

He didn't care that he was all wet he was still having a blast!

Her too. She was so excited about the dogs

Playing in the sand. It was nice having sand instead of dirt like regular camping. It was a lot easier to clean off.

The beautiful sunset

Drinking bottles and eating Oreos by the fire

Today was spent just hanging out at our camp playing in the river

Waiting to go outside

A little lizard

Playing in the water some more, with sticks of course

I love this one because I got it when he was jumping right when he hit the water

Emma playing in the water

Another pretty view

Playing in the sand in the morning

Eating cheese for breakfast

Afterwards we went and looked at some cool petroglyphs and pictographs in the red rock. It was pretty neat being that close to history

Conner checking out the scenery

Petroglyphs and pictographs

Playing on the rocks

All of the kids (and Eric and I) that were in our camping group

Some more petroglyphs and pictographs

Conner being the independent little dude that he is

Family photo. This bridge/beam didn't seem so high until I had to walk out on it. So scary. Emma also had to bring along her lion.

Eric and some of the kids running on a dry river bed thingy

After we went and looked at the petroglyphs and pictographs we went to this ghost town called Sego. It was pretty neat.

I love these pictures of Emma. She actually wanted to be in the picture

There was also this old cemetery that was pretty neat too

There was this path for the road that was cut out of the rock. It looked pretty cool.

10-19-14
Today was our last day camping. It was a fun trip.

Emma sleeping

We let the kids watch something on the ipad before we got up and I looked over and Emma was sitting on Conner. She thought it was pretty funny, he did not.

This was our camp set up minus the tarps that Eric had already taken down

Conner sweeping the sand, little weirdo

The sky was so pretty and blue

After breakfast and we got all cleaned up then we went home
