This weekend we went camping up in the Uintahs with our usual group of friends and a few more new ones. We were the only ones in a tent and everyone else was in a trailer. (6!)
Friday
We ended up with a pretty good spot. It was in a nice clearing with some trees around it. There was even still some snow up there still! When we got there, Eric got everything set up while I "watched" the kids. The first night we just hung out around the 2 different camps, which were right next to each other. The Green's brought a projector and all of the kids watched a movie. We didn't really have dinner since we got fast food on the way down. So we kind of snacked. I just hung out by the fire while Eric and the kids went to bed.
Saturday
Last night was crazy! It SNOWED!!! I was warm at first, then during the night Owen decided he didn't want to stay in his sleeping bags (the Clarks let us borrow and extra one) so he came in my bag. Once he did that I didn't stay as warm. He snored for a bit and then he slept on my face. So he slept ok. I did not. Conner and Emma did ok. When we woke up there was SNOW outside. It had snowed during the night and it was still snowing. So crazy! When we all got up Eric went in the van to warm up the muffins that were still frozen and then he brought them in the tent so we could eat.
After breakfast we warmed up in our friend's trailer. They gave us some breakfast (waffles, bacon, and sausage). Once things warmed up a bit and the snow melted, we all (Greens, Tabers, Clarks, Petersons, and 2 of Lori's friends and their families) went up to Provo Falls to take a look. It was really pretty. There was a lot of water so it was flowing pretty fast.
After the waterfall, we decided to take a drive up the road to see how far we could get (because of the snow). I don't remember how much farther we got but there was a bunch of snow blocking the road. So we all got out and let the kids play in it for a little bit.
After dinner the kids got to do a couple of pinatas (it was one of the kid's birthday) It was nice, befause Conner and Emma are more timid when rushing to get the loot. Lori saved some stuff and threw it our to Conner and Emma so they could still get some stuff. They had a lot of fun doing that and hitting the pinatas. Owen even got to hit one.
The rest of the night we (mostly me) hung out by the fires. Our friends were super nice and let us sleep in their trailers. Eric and the boys slept in the Clarke and Emma and I slept in the Tabers. Super nice of them
Sunday
Today we didn't do too much. The Tabers let us heat up our breakfast burritos in their microwave.
Today was fun because we just hung out and chilled, played games, Emma found a new best friend (Lori's second oldest). Emma was her shadow. It was cute. Lori also brought a cotton candy candy machine.
The Clarks also made brownies in their trailer. Conner was excited about it.
Me and Emma and Eric and the boys slept in the same places. So we stayed nice and warm the whole time. I hung out by the fire again with the adults until late.
Monday
Today was pretty low key too. While we packed up, we let the kids roam. Once most of the things were packed up I went on a 4-wheeler ride with Rhonda, Lori, Clarks, Tabers and Conner and Emma to go see an RV that got super stuck in the mud. It was crazy. It was so deep! While we were there, the Forest Service was there and told us that the RV was going to get impounded, the guy was going to get a fine, etc. They even gave the kids Jr. Forest Service badges. After that we came back to camp. I got pretty muddy on the 4-wheeler. Once we got back (Eric had gotten the van all packed up while I was gone) we ate a quick lunch and then headed home.

Once we got home we unloaded and then showered off. That's one of the best feelings, showering and getting all cleaned off after camping. It was a fun weekend. The kids had a lot of fun. Owen, of course, was very friendly with everybody. He loved Norm and Dave. So funny. Owen would just wander between the camps and trailers. Conner had fun hitting things with sticks and Emma loved tagging along with her new friend.
