Salt Lake City Day Trip

So yesterday we were sitting there and trying to figure out what we wanted to do that day so Eric came up with the idea to take the Front Runner down to SLC and hang out and walk around. I thought it would take a while because of all the stops in between here and SLC but it actually wasn't too bad.
When we got to SLC we went to Temple Square first and went inside the Assembly Hall which both of us had never been into. I was so amazed that they were able to build these kinds of building back then and so detailed! It was kind of like a mini version of the Tabernacle inside.

Next we went into the Tabernacle, which was awesome too.
Afterwards we decided to take a tour of the Conference Center. When we got there there was a group that was going onto the roof, which Eric had never been on so we decided to go.

After all this we decided to go to the Beehive House which Eric had never been to either. It was pretty cool to see all of the rooms that the prophet had once been in and how he had lived. After the Beehive House we decided to go to the Lion House to eat because we couldn't resist the smells coming out of it. It was just like eating at the temple, inexpensive and delicious!

This was such a fun day trip and I would definitely recommend this!

Our First Scarecrow!

Today some friends in our ward had a scarecrow party in between conference sessions. It was a lot of fun since we had never made a scarecrow before and I wanted some more Fall/Autumn/Harvest decorations. We couldn't set it in front of our door because our apartment doesn't allow it so we had to hang it on our door.
We (I) gave him the name Joel in case you were wondering what his name was. (no particular reason for that name, just kind of popped into my head)

Brad Paisley Concert

Yesterday we were able to go to the Brad Paisley concert at the USANA Amphitheater. We got free tickets for starting a new account at Zion's. We wanted to go to Jack Johnson but they supposedly didn't have anymore tickets so we went to Brad's instead. It was a pretty good concert minus the fact that there were a lot of alcoholics and smokers of all kinds. We ended up leaving a little early because otherwise we would have been there forever waiting to get out. Also, don't wear a black shirt because it gets kind of hot.
This was the first guy and I can remember his name. He was decent.

The next guy was Darius Rucker who thankfully sang some of his songs from Hootie and the Blowfish so me and Eric knew some songs.
Brad Paisley was pretty good. I had seen him before at the E.I.S.F. so I was a little excited.

Hogle Zoo

So yesterday Eric didn't have to work and we didn't have anything to do so we decided to finally go to the Hogle Zoo. We both hadn't been there in years! So there is going to be about a gazillion pictures so hold tight!

The Bird Show:

I told Eric that the guy looked liked William H. Macy's brother. The picture is of a huge Eurasian owl and a video of a sweet parrot!
