Swimming Lessons

These past 2 weeks the kids had swimming lessons at the same place they have been going to the last couple of years. They have done really well this session.

Owen used to get whiny when he had to go under water and at the end of the session he would just dunk himself all of the time. It was pretty cute.

And he got to "dive" for pennies!

Conner and Emma did really well. They got to show off all of the different strokes and things that they learned. They have gotten a lot better too. Emma gets to move on to the next level and Conner is so close to moving on.

Aubrey's Wedding

This weekend we went up to Idaho for my cousin's wedding. We went up to Eric's parents' first and stayed the night there. Then we had the kids stay there while Eric and I traveled up and over to Nampa for the wedding. It would be the first time in a while that Eric and I didn't have the kids. We got to Nampa a little early so we just shopped a little bit and then had lunch at Olive Garden. Then we went and checked into our hotel and rested for a little bit until it was time to get ready to go to the wedding. We got to carpool with Tia, which was nice. My whole family stayed at the same hotel. The wedding was in a cute little church. It was a nice ceremony. After the ceremony, the wedding party headed out and took pictures while everyone else had drinks and chatted. It was good to see some family you don't see very often. After a while we went into the bar and sat down at our tables. they did some talking and some toasts and then they released us by table to get our food. It was catered by Goodwood so it was some good BBQ food. After some other stuff happened we had dessert. It was some yummy mini bundt cakes. Once everyone was done eating, they had some dancing. Eric and I danced once. Then we all just sat around with everyone and talked and watched the people dancing. It was pretty funny. Once it was all over, we helped clean up and then headed back to the hotel, where we promptly got ready for bead and went to sleep.

Eric's mom sent us these pictures of the kids. They have a cat who is pregnant that Emma was pretty excited about.

And they got to see some little goats

More cat time

Got to play on the slide

On the way home.

Staycation in Murray

For Spring Break we did a stay-cation. Our plans changed a bunch of times. First we were thinking about going to Hawaii, then Goblin Valley/Moab area, then Vernal, then finally just Salt Lake Area.

Monday
After my paintings were done, I came home and then we headed on our way. Since the paintings took longer than I thought we didn't have time to check into the hotel so we went straight to the Living Planet Aquarium in Draper. Me and Owen had never been before but everyone else had. It was pretty neat. A lot of the tunnel things were still closed and the touch things too. Some of the animals weren't there either but it was still pretty neat. Owen got a little whiny and fussy so that made things frustrating. It's a good thing we didn't go to Vernal, because I got pretty tuckered out walking around the aquarium. I had to take a lot of breaks, especially in the South America section where it was pretty humid. I would get pretty light headed. I think the kids enjoyed it even though some things were still shut down.

On the way to the aquarium

The aquarium

After the aquarium, we checked into the hotel. Once we checked in the kids wanted to go swimming so we did. We didn't even make it an hour because the water was so cold. I kind of felt bad for the kids because they were so excited to go swimming. And they didn't have a hot tub.

After swimming, we came back up to our room, got showered off and then started watching the NCAA BBall Finals game. Then Eric went and got dinner at a Mexican place. It was ok. The rest of the night we just watched Kindles or TV. Emma slept on the couch bed and the boys slept on the other queen bed.

Tuesday
Today was a low-key chill day. When we all woke up and got dressed, we went downstairs and got breakfast and brought it upstairs to eat in our room. I was starting to have a rough day so Eric took the kids to the Lego store to just look around while I stayed back at the hotel and just hung out by myself. I worked on a puzzle I had brought. Once everyone came back we had lunch and then went down to the pool. We stayed there even shorter than last night. Once we got back the kids got showered off, Eric took Owen downstairs and hen Conner and Emma had the teletherapy appointment. Once their appointment was done, Eric and Owen came back upstairs. We/the kids played games and watched their Kindles. All day. I was in a not caring kind of mood. For dinner we ate at Buca di Beppo. It was ok, not as good as when just Eric and I ate there. Oh well.

After dinner we came back to the hotel, got ready for bed, and watched TV.

Wednesday
Today we didn't really do anything. We got up and had breakfast, then packed up and let the kids play games for a little bit. Eventually we left. We stopped at Build-A-Bear in Farmington to make a bear for Jack but there were no bears there, just characters. Dumb. SO then we came home and just chilled the rest of the day.
