Halloween

Today was a good day. The kids didn't have to wear their costumes to school since they did it last night, which was nice. Owen wore his to his little preschool party.

I had asked Emma what 'Aulani should be for Halloween. She said a sparkly pink bat. So I did my best and it turned out not too bad.

The ward trunk-or-treat was at 5:30 which was nice. The kids had fun doing it. Owen was really cute. He was really good at saying trick-or-treat. He loved running around saying it and getting candy. While we were waiting for all of the kids to make the loop so we could leave (Conner and Emma stayed with Eric) Owen and I walked around and occasionally got more candy because he's cute.

Once we were done with the trunk-or-treat, we came home and then me and Conner and Emma went out trick-or-treating. We went towards the cul-de-sacs first. The kids did really good at first. They ran for at least a third of the way. I was worried they would fall, but they never did. Conner did trip a couple of times going up the stairs but not big wipe-outs. After a bit, the kids slowed down, but they didn't really start complaining until the end. It was cold, but not as cold as I thought it was going to be, which was nice. Conner and Emma took turns knocking on doors. They had a lot of fun and got a ton of candy, almost filling their buckets. Once we got home, we had a pumpkin shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's and then the kids went to bed.

Literacy Night

Tonight was Conner and Emma's school's Literacy Night. They had a dinner of corn dogs, chips, and water. After eating we went to a story in the library that took waaaayy too long. Since that took a while, the kids only had enough time to do one activity. Then we did hall-or-treat instead of track-or-treat because it was too cold outside. I was not upset that we got to do it inside. We were at the tail end of it so the kids didn't get as much. Oh well.

Carving Pumpkins

Today we finally carved our pumpkins. We had Conner and Emma draw whatever on their pumpkins and then we let them carve some and Eric and I did the rest.

Cedar City

This weekend we went down to Cedar City to watch the ISU vs SUU football game. 

10/25: We left today in the afternoon and got to our hotel about 7:30ish. There was something wrong with our key but then they fixed it. Once that was figured out, Eric went and got a pizza. We decided not to go swimming because it was cold and we were tired so we just watched the World Series and some Netflix and then went to bed.

10/26: When we all woke up, we went to breakfast. It was in a separate building but it was really good. After breakfast, we went back to our room and got dressed to go swimming. The pool was also in a separate building. We were the only ones there for a while which was nice. The kids had a lot of fun swimming and playing with the floaties in the water. After a little bit then me and the boys went back to the room and get showered off.

Once we were all done we got all packed and loaded up and then headed to Matt's game. Right when we pulled in, we saw the team walking to the stadium.

Then we just sat and waited for the game to start. The kids did pretty good at the game. The game was terrible. ISU got their trash kicked. After the game, we talked to Matt for a little bit and then we headed home. We stopped in Beaver for dinner and kept on going. When we got closer to Salt Lake, we passed ISU's caravan of buses. Then we had to get off on the 215 because of a wreck and then a few minutes later we passed the caravan again. So I texted Matt to figure out which bus he was in. He was in the front bus on the left side so we passed them/him and flashed the indoor lights. He saw us. Kind of funny. We got home about 10:40p.
