I wonder what they talk about. . .

This past weekend my little brother had his first football game of the season so we decided to come up and watch. I didn't get any good pictures of the game but during half-time the four refs were in the middle chatting and eating. It just looked kind of funny because I had never seen them do that before.
This is just a funny/cute one of Dallas just chillin in the stroller during the game.

Family Campout

So this past weekend we went camping with my family up by Copper Basin. It was a pretty good time. Each of us picked a meal so it was nice that we didn't have to worry about every single meal. We rode four-wheelers on some trails, went on some walks/hikes, and hung out. I took about a gazillion pictures so I'll only put a "few."

After we (Baron's, Burns', Peterson's) got back from the creek the Allen's had just gotten there and I was playing with Gage and all of a sudden he just takes off and starts walking up the hill on his own. It was kind of funny.
We celebrated Eric's birthday that night and he wanted a pineapple upside-down cake this year. It was the first time I had made one and maybe the first time I had ever had one.

The next day all of the husbands sans dad and Matt went on a long hike and while they were gone it started to rain. Stacey's kids were in the trailer while the rest of us were outside. Katie and Jace peeking out.

On Sunday all of us took the four-wheelers and everyone else rode the truck a few miles up a trail. It was pretty bumpy and my hand got really sore from pushing the gas and holding onto the handle-bars.

After we got down from the trail we went by the creek and it had this big patch of sand that the little kids like to play in. They were "cheesing" for somebody else.

Davis County Fair

Yesterday was the Davis County fair and we decided to go and check it out and see how it compares to the fair in Blackfoot. It was definitely a lot smaller and there weren't as many food choices or booths. But, they did have some baby tigers which were so cute,
They did have some spirally fries that weren't too shabby and FRIED COKE! What is fried coke you ask? It is a coke flavored batter and it's pretty much like a funnel cake but in a cup. They then drizzle some coke flavored syrup and put some whipped cream on top. It actually wasn't too bad.
There was also a tank were they had some dog jumping. I've seen them do it on t.v. but never in real life. Some of them jumped pretty far too! The first video is of two dogs jumping and then the next one is of this black dog that jumps super far.

Usually with these dog jumping things they would have special equipment that let's them know how far the dog jumps but the the equipment wasn't working so they had to do it by sight. There were these two guys that looked pretty funny watching the measurements. (zoom in to see their faces better)
After the dog show we went to the demolition derby. It definitely didn't compare to the one at the E.I.S.F. but... they did have some things there that I had ever seen at a derby: cars would get pushed up onto the straw bales,
a truck demolition derby, and they didn't wet down the dirt very much so the cars could get going a lot faster which made it a little more dangerous which led to this:
2 OVERTURNED CARS!!! Luckily nobody got hurt. I don't know if we'll go next year, maybe we'll try out the state fair in Salt Lake.

So I know I could've put this on the previous post but I didn't feel like it. So while me and Eric were at the campout Tia and Blaise were staying at our place. When we came home we decided to go to the pool. Dallas had a good time and it was cute to watch him splash around. I didn't get into the pool because I had just done my hair and I didn't want it to get wet so when Dallas decided he was done and everyone else decided they wanted to still swim I got to hold Dallas. He was so cute just chilling there in his towel.

Ward Campout

This past Friday night our ward had a camp-out at this neat place near Eden, UT. It was a church owned camp which is why the little area where our tent was had this sign:
And this is our tent. We ended up putting it on a cement pad because there wasn't really a dirt spot left that was big enough for our tent and we didn't have our air mattress because Tia and Blaise were staying at our place.
While we were setting our tent up a HUGE fly flew into the tent and I almost smushed it but i caught it and I think this is a cool/gross picture.
Also at the campground they had a pool. I didn't want to swim because I didn't want to get my hair wet so Eric had to swim by himself. These pictures are just some cool ones of him jumping into the pool:
For dessert they made some yummy peach, blueberry, and apple cobbler/crisp (not all together). It was delicious!

This picture is mainly for Tia and Blaise. Maybe one day they can put this in their house to match the other ones.
For breakfast the next day they had scones with buttermilk syrup. It was soooo good and I wanted to have more but I probably would've exploded.

Abundancia Número 2 Canasta

So in case you can't read en espanol the title says Bountiful Basket Number 2. Today we got our second Bountiful Basket and luckily it doesn't really have any weird stuff in this one. In this basket we got: a thing of lettuce, celery, a bag of carrots, broccoli, 4 red bell peppers, 7 tomatoes, 5 peaches, cantaloupe, black seedless grapes, 9 bananas, strawberries, and 12 pears.
We also decided to get a Mexican pack which included: some cilantro, 10 tomatillos, 10 peppers, 8 jalapenos, 2 yellow onions, 1 bunch of green onions, garlic, 6 limes, and 3 gray squash (whatever those are).
Hopefully this time we'll be better at using our Abundancia Canasta.

Beautiful Wedding

This weekend was one of my really good friend from high school's wedding. Her wedding was in Sagle/Sandpoint, Idaho. Since it was a longish drive there we left on Thursday night and stayed at my parents and then drove up to Lolo, Montana where we stayed for the night. Our hotel there was a little interesting. It was a nice place but just a little weird. The guy at the front desk asked if we were on a honeymoon.
The next day we headed up to northern Idaho. We stayed in Ponderay, ID. It was right across the lake, Lake Pend Orielle, from where the wedding would be.

So after the wedding the wedding party still had to take some pictures so me and Eric walked around. We went out on the dock that you can see in one of the top pictures and took some pictures. . .

For the centerpieces at the wedding there were different planted herbs, which I thought was a pretty cool idea, that the guests could take home afterwords.
They also gave all of the guests these little boxes with some home-made truffles inside.

For the desserts they had these fancy cupcakes. There were lemon/blueberry and chocolate/raspberry which were pretty good.

So when the newlyweds were ready to go everyone was handed a balloon and we all stood on the dock and then let the balloons go as they rode off in a boat. Me and Eric thought that was pretty cool. The next day we had to head on home and we decided to stop at my parents house for a little bit to visit and I got this cute picture of Matt and Gage on the swing. Zoom in to see their faces.
I am so glad that we were able to make it to her wedding. It was gorgeous and a fun little trip.
