Tonight, Eric and I went to the RSL playoff game against Portland. Our neighbor was able to watch the kids, which was super awesome! Once we dropped the kids off we headed down to the game. Once we parked we got all bundled up. We had jackets, winter coats, gloves, and ponchos. It was lightly raining when we got there, but then it started to pick up as the game went on. We sat at the end, opposite of the fan section. We sat almost behind the goal, in the second row. So pretty decent seats. The game was a pretty good one. We scored in the middle of the first half. During halftime there was no entertainment because of the rain. Portland scored at the beginning of the second half. Everyone was worried that the game would go into overtime which nobody wanted because it was cold! During halftime it started to SNOW!! What?!?! So everyone was praying/hoping RSL would score so the game would end. In true RSL fashion, we scored in the 87th minute and we won!! We were so excited! It was such a good/fun game and I'm glad we went and especially glad we didn't bring the kids. We were so cold even though we brought warm clothes. We even got a little wet. It was so nice to finally get in the car so we could warm up. When we got at 11:30ish our friend said the kids were good. She brought them back to the house around 9:30ish to go to bed.
