Emma's Second Hospital Stay

So once again Emma went back to the hospital. She ended up having metapneumovirus and pneumonia. She had to be on high flow oxygen and had to get suctioned and get breathing treatments every so often. She ended up staying there for 8 days/7 nights. Eric stayed with her the first two nights and then I went and switched him places.

Day 2
This is when I was Skyping with Eric when he was there with her

Day 3
Conner liked playing with Eric's shorts

Conner and I's Superbowl.

Emma likes brushing her teeth

This video is of her brushing her teeth. She is saying Doyo (Dora) who is on her toothbrush and then giving it a kiss.

Day 4
Playing with some toys and watching Tangled

There was a therapy dog that came by that was really nice but she wasn't so sure about it

But later she got to paint and she had a lot of fun even though she only painted a small spot on the car

Finally asleep after another long day

Day 5
She was happy that she got to paint again. She got to paint sun catchers this time. She got a little carried away with the paint this time

She was able to take a little nap. (Don't mind her messy chocolate mouth)

Putting a Bugle on her finger

She got to take a "bath"!!

Day 6
My tired little bug

Day 7
Some people made and donated blankets for the pediatric patients at the hospital and Emma got this cute little pink one. She loves it.

Asleep again at the end of the day, never without her lion

We are ready to go home

Day 8
Today she got to paint again. The lady that came and brought her the thing to paint she gave Emma four different things to choose from; a slipper jewelry box, a giraffe, a unicorn, and a funny little mouse wearing a monk outfit with wings which of course is the one that she chooses.

And then she wiped the table down because she made a mess

Then she took a small nap mid-bottle

Then we finally got to go home!!!!!

It was a long week for sure without much sleep but we are glad we're home. She has to be on oxygen for a few days but that's not too bad.
