Stacey said I should start doing this blogging thing. I don't know how good I'll do for a while since it is nearing the end of the semester. Yay! Me and Eric are very excited for this semester to be over with since we feel a little burnt out.
A couple of weeks ago (March 27-30) we went do Denver to visit Stacey and her family for spring break. We had a lot of fun despite the kids getting sick. They were so fun to play with and watch. Katie is talking to Eric now which is fun. We like to listen to Katie singing the Ariel song and reading books to Jace.
We got there on a Thursday and the next day, Friday, we went to the Denver temple. It was a really pretty temple. Here is a picture.
Friday was Stacey's birthday. We were going to go out and eat together sometime in the evening but Katie was sick so Stacey stayed home with Jace and Scott stayed at the hospital with Katie. So instead me and Eric went out and ate. Before we went to Denver we decided that we wanted to try and eat out at a place that we've never been to and isn't around Pocatelloish. Scott and Stacey recommended this Italian restaurant called Maggiano's Little Italy. It was so huge! It was the biggest restaurant I've ever seen! This is a picture of me and Eric there.

The food was so good. We decided we would splurge a little and get a dessert. Wow. It was one of the best desserts I have ever had. It was this chocolate and mascarpone cheese layered cake covered in chocolate ganache (I think). It was sooooo good.

Saturday we were going to go to the zoo but when we drove by it seemed like there was thousands of people at the gate so we tried to see if there was a parking spot and obviously there wasn't. Since we didn't go to the zoo we decided to go to the Cherry Creek Shopping Center. Stacey told us that it was pretty much a high end store, but they had an Apple store that Eric wanted to see. I wanted to go just to see all of those expensive stores for fun. We went into Neiman Marcus and we saw this really ugly purse that was more than $3,300! And we saw these shoes that were over $700! It was amazing. It was kind of funny too because me and Eric were wearing just T-shirts and jeans so the sales people watched us while we were walking around the stores. We went into The Sharper Image and sat in some massage chairs for a while. There was one there that I really liked but it was over $5,000.
The next day, Sunday we had to go home. Before we left we took a picture of us and the kids.

I was trying to get Jace to look at me, but obviously it didn't really work out. Oh well.
On the way home from Denver was kind of scary. First, we were low on gas so we got off on this exit and we couldn't see or find any gas stations for a while. We drove through this town/area and it seemed kind of creepy to me. Maybe it was because there wasn't a gas station anywhere in site, but it just gave me the creeps. The rest of the way home it snowed almost the whole way. It cleared up a couple of times but not for very long. Once we saw a wreck with two semis and one all smashed up in the median. I was glad that Eric was driving because otherwise it would have taken us a lot longer to get home and thank goodness for portable DVD players otherwise I would have gone crazy watching the snow and scariness of driving through it. Overall this was a good spring break.

That cake looks mighty delicious!!! I'll be sure to put the cupcake bites link up on my blog. Sorry it has taken me so long to put a comment up here for ya, I keep forgetting...that's what happens when you get pregnant, you turn into a fat, forgetful, and clumsy person :) Anyway, have a great day!
