Kids at My Parents', Maddox

My parents had the kids for a few days so Eric and I were by ourselves. It was kind of weird but it was nice. Eric and I got to go out to eat a couple of nights just the two of us. One of the nights we went to Maddox. It was so good!

This was the only picture my parents took. Owen loved playing in the RZR.

Last Day of Session 2 Swimming Lessons

Today was the last day of swimming lessons for the kids. Conner and Emma were first and they got to dive for pennies. They were pretty excited about that. They each got to get 5. Emma got to show me how she can do a flip in the water and her surface dives. They have definitely come a long way.

Owen did pretty good too. He does better when I'm not there (more needy when I'm watching). He got to "dive" for pennies too. He's done really well this session.

Peterson Family Reunion

This weekend we got to go to the Peterson Family Reunion up at Bonanza. It had been a while since we've been there and I don't know if the kids have ever been there.

Friday
We left late morning and got up there about 6ish. My parents were already there. We passed Tia them at the junction before Arco and Stacey them were about 20ish minutes behind them. We got our stuff all set up and then we visited people and ate dinner. It was weird not having the big family bonfire and the chili dinner. Eric also took Owen on a ride on my parents' RZR.

Saturday
Today was pretty fun.

After breakfast we went down the road from the campground and had a picnic at the Yankee Fork of the Salmon River. The kids had fun throwing rocks and exploring. The Allens found some snakes, two of them even got bit! The scenery was so pretty there! The only bad part was that it was hot. Conner fell in the river so he was sad for a little bit, but once we warmed up he was fine.

After lunch/the river we went to Custer for a little bit and looked in the little store. We got some candy sticks and a pin to make into an ornament. There were some people playing instruments there too.

When we got back to camp Eric and I got to take a ride on the RZR. It was a short one but it was fun. I even got to drive. We went to look at the cemetery and take in the scenery.

For dinner we had a small potluck with just my family instead of the whole big group. After dinner we had the raffle with everybody. The kids got a pretty good haul. It was pretty fun.

After the raffle, we came back to our own camp and hung out by our own fires. The kids had fun trading their loot from the raffle and playing with it.

Conner, Emma, and Owen had fun today going around and exploring. They didn't spend much time at our camp. They had a blast finding sticks (weapons).

Sunday
Today we didn't do much. We packed up and had breakfast.

After breakfast we walked around and visited everybody, since we never really got to all get together like in years past.

After we got all packed up we took some family pictures and then headed on our way. My parents and some others were staying and going camping somewhere else.

The whole group

Me, Stacey, and Tia them at lunch at the Challis bridge boat launch. It was a nice little place. The kids had fun playing in the water. Owen, of course, got soaked. After lunch we headed home. we got home a little after 7pm. It was a fun trip and I'm glad we came.

On the way home we did end up going to visit the cemetery in Arco to see my Grandpa and Grandma Peterson's grave. I hadn't been there in a long time. It was good to go.
