Decorating the Tree

Here is our REAL TREE!!!!

So we got our Christmas tree stuff from Eric's parents' house and we realized we left our lights in our fake Christmas tree box, so the next day we drive down there to get them and when we get back we realized half of them were dead, this was a Sunday so we couldn't get new lights until Monday. So we decided to get the fancy pancy new LED lights that will hopefully last longer and use less energy (bonus!). We decided to make/decorate some new ornaments. We did that on the Sunday we didn't have any lights. It was a lot of fun decorating them. The pictures definitely do not do it justice.
And here is our sweet tree all decorated! The second one is cool to because it looks like it's glowing (which is kind of is).

Thanksgiving Week(end)

This year we had Thanksgiving at my parent's house. It was a lot of fun because we got to see a lot of people that we didn't get to see at the family reunion this summer because we were in Vegas. This picture is of Emily. She had to sleep on the couch (thanks) because all of the other beds were taken and I though she looked kind of funny.
This one is of Matt and Emily with my cousin Aubrey playing the Wii.
My brother Matt watched his friend's little turtle for the weekend and this picture I thought was really cute of Katie and Jace really looking at the turtle.
This is just cute one of Gage sucking on his toes.
A family tradition that my family has done for as long as I can remember is going up in the mountains to get our Christmas trees. This year I was excited because me and Eric finally were able to get a real tree because we have enough room! Here is our tree!
And dragging it back to the truck.
Stacey being kind of lazy (just kidding)
Emily and Katie sledding....kind of
Katie walking back from sledding.
While we were just sitting around resting all of a sudden we saw a moose run across the road, so we decided to go and see if we could find its tracks so here they are...
I love this one of Jace "helping" Blaise bring back the tree.
Another cute one of Jace walking back.
Katie, Jace, Emily, and Tia (making a weird face) eating some soup.

New Moon

A few weeks ago me and Vanessa Carr decided we wanted to go watch New Moon. We didn't go the opening night but we went the next day. We got there about half an hour before the movie started and we thought we wouldn't have to stand in that long of a line. Well we were wrong. When we got there this is what we found...
So we had to wait outside for about 20 minutes. It was kind of cold. This is a picture of me and Vanessa freezing our butts off. This isn't the best picture either since it was really cold outside. But the movie was pretty good, a lot better than the first one.

Institute Western Dance

So about a month ago at the institute they had a Western themed dance that we had to go to because that's how we met. It was a pretty fun. They had a yummy Dutch oven dinner and then had contradancing (sp?) which is where they have a guy that calls out the moves. When we were on our first date we were able to dance pretty much the whole time. Not this time. We danced a couple of times and then got too tired. Here are some pictures from the night.

Family Pictures

A couple of weeks ago we decided to go and take pictures with our friends Brian and Amanda. We went up Mink Creek to see if we could find a place with some pretty leaves but most of them were blown off (lame) but luckily we found this cool place with a huge tree with some leaves still on it. Thanks Brian and Amanda for taking our family pictures!

I told Eric we should use this one that we print off and give to our parents but then we decided not to.
I just like this one.
Another one..
This is the one we chose to print off for us and our parents.
Just a dorky one...
And another one...
My hottie husband...
So after we took pictures by the big tree we had this brilliant idea to try and go across the creek to get to the other side where this other cool tree was. So to get there you have to cross this part where the water goes across the ground and so the surrounding area is kind of muddy. Eric made it across the muddy area in one jump and I thought "well since he did it I can too." Nope. I couldn't. I landed in the mud and got my shoes muddy. So I tried to wash them off in the canal, which was FREEZING then we took the rest of our pictures which turned out pretty darn good.

Halloween!

This Halloween we went to the Sassers to celebrate. It was a lot of fun. Before we got to their place we stopped at my sister's house to drop off some things. I took this picture of Eric in his costume because I thought it'd be kind of funny.
This is Katie and Jace in their cat and dog costumes. Cute.
So after we get to Chris and Julie's we had a yummy dinner of soup in a loaf and then of course we had to take pictures of everybody's sweet costumes...
This is my mohawk (which took forever!)
Eric as a cow cowboy and me as a rocker
Brian and Amanda as Ghostbusters and Avery as the ghost
Aaron (cowboy), Shaunie (cat), and Ava (monkey)
Colin (Richard Simmons) and Vanessa (jazzersizer (sp?)
I forgot to get one of Chris and Julie who were leftovers and a chef, respectively. Later that night there was bobbing for apples. I would have done it but I didn't want to ruin my hair that took a while, otherwise I would've done it. It was so cute; Ava loved to stick her head in the water, but just enough to get her bangs wet.
This is the championship round of bobbing for apples between Chris and Brian. It is pretty hilarious!

My cake that resembles a pumpkin
This is of the doughnut eating competition of which me and Eric were the CHAMPIONS in our rounds. It was so hard not to use our hands, but it was funny watching everybody trying to eat the doughnut while it was swinging around.
Thanks Chris and Julie!

Pumpkin Carving at Tia's

This past Sunday we got together with some family at Tia's house to eat some yummy Taco soup and carve some pumpkins. Me and Eric decided to get a head start on our pumpkins since ours usually take us a while. So this is our little set up in our diningroom so we could watch a show on the laptop while we were cleaning out our pumpkins and tracing the pattern.
These are just of everyone working on their pumpkins..
Emily...
Dad and Matt...
Eric, Neal, and Emily...
Tia...
Mom and Dad working on Emily's pumpkin (she didn't really do too much on it)
Neal is so proud of his pumpkin!
Matt's new head...
Eric's sweet Batman pumpkin...
And mine. I told myself this year that I wouldn't be as ambitious, but as you can tell that didn't really happen.
