Luau

Today I had another dance performance. It was a luau at Michelle's house, since we didn't get to perform like we got to other years. All of the girls in the group that were performing were there and their families. It was potluck style. There was kalua pork, sides, and desserts. I brought mac salad, rice, and Chantilly cupcakes. Sooo GOOD! We had food first and then we performed. I wasn't nervous at all (I was kind of ready to just be done). I messed up pretty bad a few times but I didn't even care, which was nice. I just had fun and was like "Oh well." It ended up being a pretty fun night. 

My before hair. I forgot to do an after but you can kind of see it in the pictures. I crimped it with a small V crimper and then brushed it. It got pretty big.

Conner and Emma First day of 4th grade

Today was Conner and Emma's first day of 4th grade! I got up early so I could have time to get them ready and so I could take pictures. I finally wrote down what pictures I needed to take so I wouldn't have to look at previous pictures. We also "got" to add a new picture, one with a mask. So weird. They were so excited and ready to go that they wanted to leave early, but I convinced them to wait a bit. Eventually we left and they got to be first in line, which they were excited about. They had a good day at school.

Haircuts for the Kids

Today I had all of the kids get a haircut. The boys were kind of spur of the moment. While I took them I had Emma stay home and watch a movie. She did good and so did the boys. Conner just talked and Owen did pretty good. He didn't cry and he only moved around a little bit.

Emma's haircut was later at our usual spot. She had been saying she wanted her hair short so we looked at different hairstyles and she picked a short one. I was a little nervous because it would be such a big change. She wanted an A-line cut but I convinced her to be not as drastic, just a slight A-line so the maintenance would be minimal. It actually turned out really cute and she looks so different. She loved it too.

Dark Party

Tonight we finally had our dark party. Emma was supposed to have one in her class, but didn't get to have it because of the shutdown. So instead, we had one here. I bought a cheap projector so we could watch a movie downstairs and we had pizza down there too. After dinner and the movie, I busted out the glow sticks and let the kids go to town. Owen just liked when I would throw them around and he'd gather them. Conner and Emma liked putting them together and spinning them. It turned out pretty fun and the kids had a good time.

C&E First Soccer Game

Today was Conner and Emma's first soccer game of the season. Emma's was first. She actually did really good. She ran the whole time and even kicked it a bunch. She would even get into the scrum, not super aggressive, but better than before. Conner was next, I wasn't there for that one but Eric said he did pretty good.
