Ballagio

Every weekend here in Vegas me and Eric are going to try to go somewhere different/new. We get to choose what we do every other weekend and this weekend was my weekend. We decided to go to the Bellagio and look at the conservatory and watch the fountain show. In their conservatory they have tons of different kinds of flowers and plants and they have 5 different themes throughout the year and the theme right now of course is Summer.

These next few pictures are just some cool pictures that I took there. I definitely felt like an Asian tourist taking pictures of everything.
At one end of the conservatory they had this atrium with different types of birds in there and there were these two lovebirds in the shape of a heart. So cute. Another funny thing was was there were two other "lovebirds" that were fighting.
This is just a video of me hitting this little fountain thingy. I thought it was cool because you could watch where you hit it go around.

After we looked at the conservatory we decided to go and find a spot to watch the fountain show. We didn't really look up the time that it started (we later found out that it started at 2pm) so we figured it would start at duskish. I was so excited to see the fountain. I was like a kid at Christmas. For the first song, which was pretty good (Singing in the Rain by Frank Sinatra [I think]) we had a decent spot that wasn't quite in the center and after the song some people moved and we were able to watch the show in the dead center. The shows would come on every 15 minutes and I loved them so much that we watched five and I probably would have stayed longer but Eric wanted to so something different because we were kind of getting tired of standing there. The second and third songs were the "Beef is what's for dinner" song and the "Titanic" song. I don't remember what the fourth and fifth were, some classical songs I think. Pretty cool nonetheless.

These pictures do not do it justice but during a couple of song the fountains would shoot up so high and it looked like they shot higher than the hotel.
After we were done at the fountains we decided to walk around and go to the M&M World store. On the way there I saw this Elvis (my first Elvis) and I took a picture, not a very good one, and on the way to the M&M store I saw two more.

Moving In - Hello Las Vegas!

We made it! Actually we got here this past Saturday, we just didn't have Internet until Tuesday. The drive wasn't too bad actually. We left about 8am Saturday morning and got to Vegas 4:30ish pm our time but 5:30ish Idaho time. We stopped in Provo to have lunch with Eric's brother Adam and his wife Karen and then we got back on our way. The closer and closer that we got to Vegas the hotter and hotter it got. Well anyways this is our apartment before and after the furniture. It's a pretty nice place, it has 2 bedrooms with a walk-in closet in each, 2 bathrooms (1 with a Huge tub, Yay!!), a livingroom with a deck, diningroom, and a kitchen with all the appliances (normal size fridge [with an ice machine], a normal size stove, a DISHWASHER, and a microwave. It is a pretty nice place. I only have a picture of our bedroom because it's pretty much the same as the other one except that it has a bathroom connected to it but it's a smaller one.

And here is our bathroom with the tub that is at least 2 times bigger than the one at our old place.
This is the livingroom before and after the furniture. And it's exciting to finally have a normal size couch you can have Sunday naps on, even though we'll only have the couch for a couple of months.

Moving Out - Peace out Pulling Courts!!!

It's kind of sad to say but the only pictures that I really have of our old apartment is when we were moving out and it is either really dirty or just barely cleaned and so begins the journey...

These are kind of the before and in between pictures, but they're just of the livingroom which looks just as messy as the other rooms.
Notice all of the boxes we have, we went one night to Walmart like at 1:30 in the morning and then went searching in the recycling bins too. There would have been a funny picture of Eric in one of the bins with his legs sticking out but of course I didn't have the camera and I had my cell phone but since it was dark it wouldn't have shown up. But here's a kind of good one, but still not as good. The Friday that we were checking out of our apartment is the day that we finished packing and cleaned out the apartment. We asked my mom, Tia, and Amanda to help us clean the apartment. Before they came I didn't think that it would take that long but it did, and thanks to them, they helped us clean it way faster than it would have taken with just me and Eric and we made check out time just in time. Thanks so much you guys I don't know what we would have done without you. You guys are awesome!

This is the apartment that Eric and I move into when we were first married and the only one we have stayed in, so we have stayed here for almost 2 years.

Here is our bedroom with the heater that melted my laundry basket and made the bedroom smell like burnt plastic for a while every time we used the heater.

Here's the livingroom. If you look really closely you can tell where the rug has laid down for the past two years.
Last but not least the sweetest kitchen ever! (if you lived in the 70s and liked green appliances). So as you can see our appliances are an ugly green and not the normal regular size, but mini. Our stove has buttons instead of knobs and can't fit a cookie sheet in it all of the way so the door wouldn't close and it's too small to be able to put anything in sideways. Our freezer is half the size that it looks right now which is small enough.

After we had checked out we went to Eric's parent's house in Blackfoot to stay the night before our journey to Las Vegas the next day. Later that night we packed our car, pretty much full to the brim with no extra space.

Memorial Weekend

So I know this is a little late but Eric and I have been a little busy this last couple of weeks. But for Memorial Day weekend, Thursday through Monday, we went camping with a few of our friends: Colin & Vanessa, Brian & Amanda & Avery, Aaron & Shaunie & Ava, Chris & Julie, Trevor & Candace. It was a lot of fun. Every couple picked and made a meal for everyone else. It was nice because that way we didn't have to bring that much food. The food was really good too. We had dutch oven, stuffed french toast, and lots of other good stuff.

This picture is of me looking gorgeous while camping as always (just kidding).
This is about the best S'more I have ever had. Aaron pretty much perfected the art of roasting (or marshing) marshmallows. Instead of a graham cracker and chocolate I used a mint Oreo. Yummy.
These are just some cute pictures of Avery and Ava. The one of Avery has red eyes but still cute nonetheless.
This is a picture of Travis (?) Chris and Julie's friend), after they had just gotten done riding their bikes through the mud. Kind of funny. It looks like they had a little accident. Who knows, maybe they did.
This last one is of everybody's coolers in the creek, keeping them cool.
On Monday we went to Idaho Falls to visit Eric's dad's grave at the cemetery. I would have gotten a picture but I forgot. After the cemetery we went to Eric's sister, Joy's house for a while to visit. Towards the end of the visit Jo's husband Chris asked Eric if he wanted to go paragliding/sailing (I don't know which) in the hills behind I.F. They went and I went with Eric's parents to watch but it was to windy for Eric to do it tandem with Chris so Chris just went for a minute. It looks kind of scary.
